Description |
Xylanase is produced through submerged fermentation of Trichoderma reesei, followed by purification and formulation. This enzyme targets hemicellulose substances, effectively reducing the viscosity of starch slurries. It is commonly used in the alcohol and brewing industries, particularly when working with wheat raw materials. The enzyme primarily consists of endo β-1,4 xylanase and β-xylosidase. Endo β-1,4 xylanase breaks down xylan into oligoxylose and xylobiose, while β-xylosidase further converts these products into xylose. This dual action significantly lowers the viscosity associated with xylan, facilitating smoother processing. |

The recommended dosage is 0.05-0.4 L of the enzyme preparation per ton of total raw materials. The dosage has to be optimized based on each application, the raw material specifications, product expectation and processing parameters. It is better to begin the test with the convenient volume. |
