Instruction |
1. Turn on the water quality analyzer. 2. Take the colorimetric tubes, using one as the reference, and select the same number of tubes as the water samples to be tested. Place them on the test tube rack. 3. Add 5 mL of the water sample to the colorimetric digestion tube (for the blank, add 5 mL of distilled water), seal, and shake well. 4. Then add 1 mL of Total Iron Reagent B to each tube, seal, shake well, and let it stand for 3 minutes before measurement. 5. Wipe the outer walls of the test tubes clean, and follow the instrument's user manual to select the appropriate calibration curve and measure at a wavelength of 510 nm. |
Application | This product is suitable for the analysis of total iron content in water quality testing. |
Testing Principle | A reducing agent is used to reduce the ferric ion (Fe³⁺) in the sample solution to ferrous ion (Fe²⁺). The ferrous ion then reacts with phenanthroline to form an orange-red complex ion, which can be measured to determine the concentration of ferrous ion. |
