Summary | The thermostable α-amylase is able to liquefy starch at high temperature, which makes it possible to reduce viscosity while gelatinization, and this brings lots of benefits for starch sugar processing and related industries like ethanol fermentation. |
Description |
Thermostable Alpha-Amylase is produced by submerged fermentation of Bacillus licheniformis, followed by purification and formulation. The enzyme’s high-temperature resistance enables it to efficiently liquefy starch and reduce viscosity during gelatinization, providing significant benefits for starch sugar processing and related industries. This enzyme belongs to the family of hydrolytic enzymes and targets α-1,4-glycosidic bonds in starch. It produces dextrins, oligosaccharides, and a small amount of glucose. |
Advantages |
A thermostable α-amylase applicable in many cases Fast viscosity reduction and efficient liquefaction High saccharification yield and ethanol yield or fermentation yield |
Application | For viscosity reduction and starch liquefaction |
Application Area |
Dairy cow Pig/swine Poultry Ruminants Textile Ethanol Brewing Condiments with enzymes Plant extract Tobacco applications Starch sugar Amino acid fermentation Organic acid fermentation Portable alcohol |
Application Recommendation |
Add 0.3-0.6 L per ton of total raw materials at pH 5.5-6.5, keep temperature at 85-90°C for around 120 minutes. The dosage has to be optimized based on each application, the raw material specifications, product expectation and processing parameters. It is better to begin the test with the convenient volume. |
