Summary | The thermostable α-amylase is able to liquefy starch at high temperature, which makes it possible to reduce viscosity while gelatinization and liquefaction, and this brings lots of benefits during medium preparation with starchy materials. |
Description | Thermostable alpha-amylase is produced through submerged fermentation of Bacillus licheniformis, followed by purification and formulation. Its high-temperature stability enables effective starch liquefaction and viscosity reduction during gelatinization. This characteristic provides significant advantages for starch sugar processing and related industries, enhancing efficiency and product quality. |
Advantages |
A thermostable α-amylase applicable in many cases Fast viscosity reduction and efficient liquefaction High saccharification yield and fermentation yield |
Application | For liquefaction and viscosity reduction of starchy raw materials and ease fermentation process |
Application Area |
Brewing Condiments with enzymes Starch sugar Amino acid fermentation Organic acid fermentation Portable alcohol |
Application Recommendation |
Brewing industry: The recommended dosage is 0.3-0.5 L of the enzyme preparation per ton of total raw materials, added at liquefaction. Alcohol industry: Add 0.3-0.6 L per ton of total raw materials at pH 5.5-6.5, keep temperature at 85-90°C for around 120 minutes. Starch sugar industry: Add 0.5-0.6 L per ton of dry starch after pH adjustment. The liquefaction temperature can reach 100±5°C and then keep temperature at 95-97°C for 60-120 minutes. The dosage has to be optimized based on each application, the raw material specifications, product expectation and processing parameters. It is better to begin the test with the convenient volume. |
