Description | Pulp & paper sizing enzyme is an α-amylase preparation designed for starch modification. When starch reaches its gelatinization temperature, the resulting slurry can become excessively viscous. SUN51 is intended to manage the viscosity of starch slurry as needed. The reduction in viscosity can be halted by increasing the temperature above 95 °C, at which point the enzyme denatures and ceases to function. Utilizing SUN51 allows for the adjustment of viscosity to meet production requirements, offering significant flexibility in the use of oxidized starch. |
