Overview

Description Nutrizyme β-mannanase [EC 3.2.1.78] is produced from a refined strain of Bacillus lentus using advanced liquid fermentation and extraction technologies. Mannan, a polysaccharide found abundantly in botanical feed sources such as palm kernel meal, soybean meal, and sesame meal, can increase digesta viscosity and impact nutrient digestion and absorption. β-Mannanase is a hemicellulose hydrolase that breaks down β-1,4-glycosidic bonds, effectively degrading β-mannan, galactomannan, and glucomannan into mannan oligosaccharides and mannose. This enzyme reduces the anti-nutritional effects of mannan and decreases the viscosity of digesta, thereby improving nutrient utilization.
