Description The MTT cell activity kit provides a simple method of determining the number of viable cells by absorbance on a microtiter plate reader. MTT is a tetrazolium salt that is reduced to a purple colored filth by mitochondrial enzymes, which are only present in metabolically active viable cells. The amount of filth produced is proportional to the number of viable cells in the sample.
