Description Low Temperature Microbes are designed to remain effective in temperatures below 15°C/60°F, where most microbes struggle. Unlike standard products that lose about 50% of their activity for every 10°C decrease, Low Temperature strains maintain high biological activity (90%) even at 4°C/39°F. This prevents the buildup of nitrogen and phosphorus sludge during winter. Low Temperature Microbes improve the removal of BOD, COD, TSS, and sludge in wastewater, ensuring smooth operation of treatment systems, lagoons, or ponds through colder weather and preventing issues with odors, TSS, and algae as temperatures rise.
