Overview

Summary Cellobiase (β-Glucosidase) enhances the hydrolysis of cellulose into glucose. In addition, the enzyme is capable of breaking down β-glycosidic links on glycosides. Therefore, the enzyme can be used for deglycosylation of some glycosylated compounds.
Description The product is derived from submerged fermentation of a selected fungal strain, followed by purification and formulation. Known as Cellobiase or β-glucosidase (Art No. BGL), this hydrolytic enzyme belongs to the family of β-D-glucoside hydrolase, also referred to as gentiobiase, and exhibits transglycosidase activity. As a component of cellulose-degrading enzymes, Cellobiase targets cellobiose or cello-oligosaccharides, cooperating with exoglycanases and endoglucanases to fully hydrolyze cellulose into glucose. Moreover, the enzyme can cleave β-glycosidic bonds in glycosides, thereby separating glucose from its aglycone. In many plant extracts or food items, functional component precursors exist as glycosides. Cellobiase enables these precursors to release the desired active substances.
Advantages Cellubiase to enhance cellulose hydrolysis
β-glucosidase able to deglycosate glycosylated compunds
Aroma releasing enzyme
Application For enhanced cellulose hydrolysis, deglycosylation, aroma release and gentiooligsaccharide synthesis
Application Area Ethanol
Plant extract
Application Recommendation The recommended dosage is 0.5-10 kg/T DS. The dosage has to be optimized based on each application, the raw material specifications, product expectation and processing parameters. It is better to begin the test with the convenient volume.
