Product Information

Application The product is used to study the fermentation of staphylococci and micrococci.
Principle This test is similar to oxidation-fermentation tests for non-fermentative organisms. Tryptone and yeast extract provide essential nitrogenous nutrients, while glucose serves as the fermentable carbohydrate. Bromo cresol purple is the pH indicator. A small amount of agar creates anaerobic conditions in the tube depths.
