Summary | The product is a β-Mannanase preparation able to degrade mannan, a very viscous substance commonly found in many plant feed raw materials, and therefore, helps with animal's digestion, absorption, immune system and gut health. | ||||||||
Description |
β-Mannanase [EC 3.2.1.78] is a highly concentrated, thermostable β-mannanase preparation produced through submerged fermentation of Bacillus lentus, followed by purification and formulation. Mannan, prevalent in plant-based feed materials such as palm kernel meal, soybean meal, and sesame meal, contributes to high chyme viscosity, which can hinder nutrient digestion and absorption. β-Mannanase belongs to the hemicellulose hydrolase family and targets the β-1,4-glycosidic bonds in β-mannan, galactomannan, and glucomannan. This enzymatic action produces mannose oligosaccharides and mannose, effectively mitigating the anti-nutritional effects of mannan and reducing chyme viscosity. |
