Product Information

Application Used to identify the fermentation reactions of various aerobic bacteria to sugars.
Principle Beef paste powder and peptone provide carbon and nitrogen sources, vitamins and growth factors; sodium chloride maintains a balanced osmolality; disodium hydrogen phosphate is a buffer; muskoxylan bromide is a pH indicator, yellow for acidity and blue for alkalinity; and a variety of sugars are added to the basal medium to test for the characterization of the bacterial fermentation of sugars.
