Bioactive Complex, BC-014 | Introduction | BC-014 is a biological agent developed for sludge bulking in aerobic tanks of sewage treatment plants. It is composed of a professional mix of microbial strains selected from nature, enzyme preparations and inorganic and organic nutrients. It is mainly used in aerobic tanks with sludge bulking in sewage treatment plants related to municipal, food processing, pulp and paper, and chemical industries. |
| Usage | When in use, BC-014 is directly added to the front end of the aerobic pool of the sewage treatment system. During normal operation of the system, the dosage of BC-014 is: 0.15 ppm-3 ppm (based on the amount of water treated per day). If the system is in the recovery period after a shock, the dosage of BC-014 is: 0.4 ppm-6 ppm (based on the amount of water treated per day). |
| Application Scenario | Usually, the activated sludge method is used to treat municipal, pulp and paper, brewing, food processing and chemical wastewater. During the operation of the wastewater treatment system, the problem of filamentous bacteria expansion often occurs. BC-014 can reduce the number of filamentous bacteria, improve the settling performance of activated sludge and reduce the concentration of suspended solids in the effluent. When the system is in normal operation, the use of BC-014 can improve the performance of the wastewater treatment system and save operating costs. BC-014 selects microbial strains from nature, including aerobic bacteria and facultative anaerobic bacteria, which can decompose most organic matter in wastewater. At the same time, BC-014 also contains enzyme preparations and nutrients (trace elements, vitamins, etc.) and other components, which can destroy the stability of filamentous bacteria foam and thus enhance the settling performance of activated sludge. |
