Introduction | BC-002 is a biological agent developed for the denitrification system of sewage treatment. It is composed of denitrifying bacteria selected from nature, enzyme preparations and nutrients in a professional ratio. Usually, the nitrification reaction in sewage treatment plants converts ammonia nitrogen into nitrite and nitrate. Under the action of denitrifying bacteria, nitrate produces nitrogen gas and is discharged into the air. Under certain unfavorable conditions, denitrifying bacteria are inhibited, resulting in excessive nitrate/nitrite in the discharged water, causing eutrophication of water bodies, poisoning of aquatic plants and animals, etc. |
Mechanism of Action |
Improve denitrification efficiency, increase total nitrogen removal, and improve operation under low temperature conditions. Improve BOD removal. The facultative anaerobic microorganisms in denitrifying bacteria can remove BOD under aerobic and anoxic conditions. |
Usage | Under normal circumstances, denitrifying bacteria are directly added to the anoxic denitrification area of the sewage treatment plant. The dosage is between 0.1 ppm-6 ppm (based on the daily treated water volume). The specific dosage is evaluated based on nitrite/nitrate concentration, daily treated water volume, retention time, etc. |
Application Scenario |
Usually, the effluent nitrite and nitrate concentrations of sewage treatment systems with weak denitrification capacity exceed the standard. In this case, denitrifying bacteria can help the system because they are microbial strains with denitrification capacity selected from nature, which can improve the system's denitrification capacity and increase the removal capacity of nitrite/nitrate. Denitrification conditions: 1. The system has a sufficient number of effective denitrifying bacteria; 2. The presence of nitrite/nitrate substances; 3. Anoxic conditions (oxygen inhibits denitrifying bacteria); 4. The presence of a small amount of biodegradable substances (BOD, methanol, etc.). |
