Bio-based PE is a bio-based polyethylene produced from the renewable raw material sugarcane. As an alternative, bio-PE is a renewable substitute for fossil polyethylene (PE). Unlike conventional polyethylene, bio-based PE is synthesized from sugarcane-based bioethanol, which is of great significance for environmental protection. Bio-based polyethylene is mainly processed by blow molding, injection molding and film extrusion. This bio-based and 100% recyclable plastic is mainly used for packaging of food and cosmetics as well as household products, sporting goods and toys. Bio-based PE has the same properties as fossil PE. The current product portfolio includes various HDPE, LDPE and LLDPE grades that have excellent performance characteristics and good processing properties.
Reduced Carbon Footprint
The production of bio-based polyethylene can reduce dependence on fossil fuels, thereby reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
Renewability
Compared with traditional polyethylene, bio-based polyethylene can be sustainably produced from renewable plant resources.
