Bio-based Monomers

Bio-based monomers are the basic units that make up bio-based polymers and are compounds with a repeating structure. They are linked together by covalent bonds to form macromolecular chains. Bio-based polymer monomers can be organic or inorganic. Common organic polymer monomers include ethylene, styrene, propylene and ethylene glycol, while inorganic polymer monomers include silicates and sodium chloride.
