This bacterium is applied in agriculture, aquaculture, and hydroponics as a bio fungicide to combat root pathogens like Ralstonia solanacearum, Pythium, and Rhizoctonia solani, and to boost root resilience against salt stress. By inoculating plants with Bacillus amyloliquefaciens powder, plant growth can be improved through the induction of systemic tolerance to environmental stresses, resulting in genetic, chemical, and physical adaptations in the plant.
