Principle | Non-sporing anaerobes are diverse opportunistic pathogens commonly found as normal flora on skin and mucosal membranes. The medium contains biopeptone and peptone B to supply nitrogen, chloride, and other vital nutrients for bacterial growth. Sodium helps maintain osmotic balance, while agar acts as a solidifying agent. |

Directions | Suspend 40.0 g in 1000 ml of purified/distilled water. Heat to boiling to completely dissolve the medium. Autoclave at 15 pounds pressure (121°C) for 15 minutes. Cool to 45-50°C and aseptically add 5- 7% sterile horse blood. Stir well before pouring. |
